As part of the preparations for the Chaturveda Jnana Yajna scheduled to commence on January 2, 2025, in Kasargod, the first medicinal plant for the proposed 'Nakshatra Vanam' (Star Forest) was ceremoniously received. This inaugural plant was collected from the deity's sacred feet (Sri Padam) at Vivekananda Rock in Kanyakumari. The plant was handed over to the Yajna organizing committee, represented by O.K. Jayachandran and T.D. Babu Vaidyar, by the indigenous traditional medicine division organizing secretary D.S. Arun Kumar Vaidyar, state treasurer K.G. Bhadra Vaidyar, and Chithirunal zonal secretary Naseeruddin Vaidyar.
